| The Castañeda Museum of Ethnic Costume is a 501(c)(3) organization presenting programs to the general public about ethnic & folk costume from around the globe, illustrated with textiles, ethnic dolls, masks, etc., thus hoping to stimulate interest in the world’s peoples & cultures, as well as in geography. The Museum’s collection consists of approximately 2,000 individual textiles and related objects, the majority of which pertain to Mexican and Guatemalan indigenous groups. At present, the Museum does not have its own facility and is dependent on other institutions for temporary exhibit space.
