Experience the indigenous cultures of Arizona , the greater Southwest, and northern Mexico at Arizona State Museum – the oldest and largest anthropology museum in the region. ASM is a Smithsonian Institution affiliate and home of the world’s largest collection of Southwest Indian pottery. Watch for our new expansion facility to open in downtown Tucson in 2011!
Location:1013 E. University Boulevard Just NE of the University of Arizona ’s Main Gate at Park Avenue and University Boulevard in Tucson
Parking:Convenient, covered parking is available for a small fee on weekdays at Euclid and Second and at Tyndall and Fourth. Parking is free on weekends.
Hours of Operation:Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday Noon – 5 p.m.
Admission Fees:$3 per person requested donation; fees very for school programs and adult group tours.

Lunch Facilities:Expansive front lawn is available for picnicking; there are a number of restaurants nearby.

Other Resources:The Library is open Monday - Friday, 9:30 - 4:30, with materials on the archaeology and ethnology of the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. The Archives are available by appointment. Teacher in-services are offered periodically. Topics include Project Archaeology: Intrigue of the Past and Paths of Life: American Indians of the Southwest. District credit is available. Call ASM for more information.
